We figured out the clues!!!

We saved Zero the Hero today!  Before we could even come into the classroom, Special Agent Smart and Special Agent Clever had to have us clear security by scanning our fingers on the ipads.  When the door opened, we saw laser beams and spy kits at our place.  Our spy kit had a case file, disguise glasses, special agent badge and special agent pen and bracelets. We listened to devious Agent 99s secret message on the SB!  In music, we thought we heard Agent 99 in the vents. We had to complete many missions like write to 100, make ten Friendly 10 combinations, build a snack with 100 pieces, we counted to 100 by 1s, 10s and 5s. We couldn't touch the laser beams OR the special lights. We kept receiving special notes from other classes in the school and we had to put them in order: You will find Zero the Hero where you like to play. We figured out he was in the gym! When we got there, there was no Zero the Hero because he had to go to another celebration BUT he left us a spy certificate and a treat. It was a GREAT day of solving clues!!!!

Our 100 day projects were amazing!

What a great day in Grade 1. We are 100 days SMARTER! Many students dressed up like they were 100 years old complete with canes and grey hair. Our class looked fabulous-the principal even mentioned how nice it was for all the seniors to join our school assembly - hahah!
We made 100 day glasses, wrote 100 words, designed a book called 100 Days Ago I didn't know....But Now I Do! We even made a 100 piece fruit loop necklace. Our 100 days projects were awesome! We had many different ideas containing 100 things. We are so happy to be 100 days smarter....

In 100 years...

We made old ladies and old men portraits.  We shared our Where Am I videos for science.  We will show you those at parent teacher interviews in March.  Today is the LAST day to order hot lunch and milk for March.  We went to music.  We sang 'She's Coming Around the Mountain'.

We are all done The Leader of the Week.  Everyone has had a turn.

100 days of school

Grade 1 rocks!

We all made some GREAT 100 day projects!

Today we had the 100th day of school! Some people dressed up like old people with beards and some dressed up like pioneers.  One student even had a shirt with 100 stickers!

We made jester hats with 100 stickers on it.  We had to write 100 words.  We also made structures with 100 cups! We played Race to 100 for math and counted up to 100 by 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s.  We read some 100 day stories.

Tomorrow is Pink Shirt day and Crazy Hat day.  It's a busy week!

Welcome back!

Today we ate popcorn!  We had to use our 5 senses to describe it.  Our 5 senses are taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing.

Tomorrow is 100th day.  Some projects have already come to school.  One project looks like the number 100!  One is a marshmallow house made with 100 marshmallows!
