Terry Fox Run
Today, we ran around Emerson Lake for Terry Fox. Terry had a prosthetic leg because he had cancer in his leg. He tried to run across Canada. He dipped his leg in the Atlantic Ocean and wanted to finish the race by dipping his leg in the other ocean. He had to stop running and go to the hospital because he had big spots on his lungs. He couldn't breathe anymore. We remember Terry by running the Marathon of Hope every year. Terry Fox tried to run across Canada to raise money for the scientists and doctors because he hoped kids would never get cancer.

The finished product! |
Yum, yum! |
We made applesauce today. We had to cut the apples and we put them in the crockpot. We had to mash the apples and it cooked all day. We added sugar and cinnamon. We could smell it and it smelled good. Then we tasted it. It tasted delicious. We are bringing home the recipe.

Quiver is a COOL app! |
We taught Ms Mahan's class, too! |
We read a story about a little girl who didn't think she was an artist and then we learned that she could do anything. We made our own dots to 'make our mark'. After, we used a really cool app that made the dot come alive. We even went over and taught Ms Mahan's class how to use it! I brought the paper home to teach you how to use it!
